This census entry shows Samuel Miller, his second wife Mary Ann Greer, and their family in 1870. It is interesting to note that the township was then named “Franklin Township” and would be changed sometime between 1870 and 1880 to the “Ashby Township,” after confederate general Turner Ashby.
