Dayton, Va
Dear Friend
I received
your letter yesterday was
real glad to hear from
you once again. You cer-
tainly have been going to
church quite abit. As for
your question you ask I
neve3r said it or nothing
2
like it if I had I would
have told you, now you
can believe who you want
to. What do you take
me to be? I never thought
about such a thing if you
didn’t want me to keep your
company all you would have
need to have done was to
say know no no.
And if you don’t want to write
to me just quite don’t try to
pick a fuss.
3
I don’t dought but what you
heard such talk but please
don’t think I would leave home
just to get away from you.
If it would be your will
I would be more than glad
to see you this evening.
But if you want to go with
Abe in his new rubber tire
buggie you had better ask
Lillian. Carrie Please pardon
me if I have wrote any thing
that hurt your feelings I didn’t
Try to do that at all for
such stuff as that does insult
me.
4
I wish i could be there when
Jolly makes his last visit I
believe we would need some
tubes all right Say I wrote to
Jolley yesterday and ask him
If had the plans for his
buggie shop yet ha! ha!
I will be glad to see Jolley
and sume body will be sorry
to see him leave I expect.
Yes it was right cool here last
week its plenty warm enough
today it rained this evening
and i quit work at too thirty.
5
I am afraid you are kidding
me about that money ha! ha!
I will study over the matter
and let you know later ha!
Please excuse this letter but
that talk stired me still at
the same time I think just
as much of you as I ever did
like you just swell.
By the I about to forget what does
it mean to stump a better
like you had yours I thought
maybe that stood for a lemon
and didn’t know it ha! ha!
I hope it is the opposite to lemon.
I close with best wishes
from a True Friend
