Funeral Services to be Held Saturday Morning
Mrs. Mary E. Miller, aged 79, well known resident of the Bridgewater section, died yesterday morning at 7:30 at her home near Bridgewater following a long illness.
Mrs. Miller was a daughter of the late David and Barbara Wright and was born Sept. 17, 1859 near Bridgewater, where she spent her entire life. She was united in marriage with A.M. Miller, who died May 10, 1934. To this union was born six children, five of whom survive.
Mrs. Miller was a life-long member of the Church of the Brethren and a woman of sterling character. She leaves many friends who mourn her passing.
She is survived by five children, Lemual [sic] D. Miller, of Dayton; Mrs. Gertie E. Hilbert, of Bridgewater; J. Roy Miller, of New Springfield, Ohio; Mrs. Anna V. Hilbert of Weyers Cave; Cora B. Miller, at home; three brothers, John S. Wright, of Mt. Crawford; D. Edward Wright, of Harrisonburg; M.L. Wright, of Weyers Cave and two sisters, Miss Virginia Wright, of Weyers Cave and Mrs. Rebecca Wampler, of Weyers Cave. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o’clock from the college Street Church of the Brethren in Bridgewater with friends meeting at the home at 10 o’clock. Services will be conducted by Rev. C.G. Hesse, assited by Rev. C.B. Smith and Dr. John S. Flory.
Pallbearers will be: D.C. Craun, S.W. Long, Ernest Driver, Paul Rhodes, Ed Miller, and Charles S. Estep.
