This Bible was found in the World War 2 Camera box where the majority of the LDM & CBC Collection documents were found. This Bible belonged to the parents of Carrie Berta Caricofe. It was originally thought to be Newton Michael Caricofe’s bible, however, upon closer inspection, it seems equally possible that it was, in fact, Mary Catherine Ritchie’s (Newton’s wife) Bible. As such it is listed under both names here.
Items found within this Bible:
- Photograph of young boy – presumed to be Newton Michael Caricofe c. 1870.
- Photograph of a woman, presumed to be between 20-35.
- Letters to Mary Catherine Ritchie from the 1940s
- Brethren pamphlet entitled, “Christ’s Church Dissipline.”
