Mr. L.D. Miller,
Bridgewater Va.
Dear Friend;-
It is with the greatest of
pleasure I write you a few
lines tonight. It has not
seemed like Sunday today
to me. The old man went
to Harrisonburg last evening
and bought some new
carpet for up here. of course
Page 2
He had to clean up and
put them down today. I
am so mad he had been
having me working around here
most of the day. We have
our new S.B. now believe
me every thing is just so
nice and clean, our new
board shines. Say we haven’t
our reception soon yet – ha!
Well I have not heard
any music yet today only
the kids have been crying
down stairs most all after-
noon I tryed to sleep awhile
Oh! my. Ha! Ha!

I wanted it to rain today
I think I allmost got my
wish. It is very common
for it to rain on Sun.
though. how did you get
home last Sunday night
through the mud? I hope
all O.K. I will tell you
what the old man said
when I see you. I am
well but am a little tired
this even I am glad this
old place is cleaned up
it makes me so to think
I had to help clean up.
on Sun.

For I don’t do that at
home. Ha! Ha! Will tell y
more later. Well I guess I
will have to sing off and
go to bed for it is getting
late just six thirty. Ha! Ha!
so be good
and don’t work to death
Sincerely Yours,
Carrie C.
P.S. Remember me if not a task
Remember it is all I ask
Remember me and so will I
Remember you until I die.
